Being trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach and being certified in the approach are vastly different. Our practitioners have taken the steps to be fully certified, having completed all coursework, to include a practicum with direct supervision. This ensures our clients receive a high standard of instructional competence and fidelity.
Private tutoring with us means a solid individualized plan that starts with discovering the root cause of literacy difficulties through assessment. After reviewing results, our team works to build an individualized plan based on the student's individual strengths and weaknesses. There's no one-size-fits-all approach here!
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is the GOLD standard for dyslexia support. We take each student's unique learning profile into consideration. We do not follow programs or scripts. Rather, we opt for daily personalized plans built from scratch. Each session is based on diagnostic and prescriptive elements from the session prior. This allows students to progress at their own pace, with careful focus on specific areas of need.
