Specialized Reading Intervention That Fits Your Homeschool

One of the greatest advantages of homeschooling is the ability to give your child what they need, when they need it. For a child with dyslexia or persistent reading and spelling difficulties, that may mean making specialized reading intervention a central part of the school day.

At Stafford Reading Center, Orton-Gillingham instruction is individualized, explicit, structured, sequential, and responsive to each student's needs. Rather than asking a struggling reader to spend more time practicing skills that aren't working, we identify the gaps and systematically build the foundational skills needed for reading and spelling success.

Homeschooling also provides something especially valuable: flexibility. Daytime intervention allows students to receive instruction when they are fresh and ready to learn—not at the end of a long school day. Families can then build the rest of their homeschool schedule around this important work.

At Stafford Reading Center, we are looking for families who are ready to make that commitment with us. Two sessions each week are a required part of our program. Consistency matters. Attendance matters. Time matters. Our strongest partnerships are with families who understand that meaningful progress requires both expert instruction and a willingness to protect their child's intervention time.

The commitment is significant, but it is also temporary. The goal is not for your child to need intervention forever. The goal is to give your child the foundational literacy skills and independence that will serve them for a lifetime.
